Job Description

Responsible for the overall management, planning, scheduling, and implementation of assigned Enterprise Installations. As Project Manager, you will work closely with the Customer to ensure all goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are achieved with a high degree of accuracy and quality. This is accomplished by directing an agile project team of Sales, Engineers, Procurement, Service, and Finance partners. Project Managers are expected to follow a detailed process flow of every phase of the Project. The Project Manager is responsible for the organization all engineers and sub-contractors involved, orchestrating schedules of all installers, and knowing the purchasing and invoicing details for every project assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Taking care of the customer is our foremost priority; communication, delivery and follow through are imperative
  • Act as liaison to ensure all complaints, project issues, change requests, and invoicing discrepancies are promptly addressed
  • Provide a positive and consistent customer experience for all Dice Communications customers
  • Ownership of all customer related interaction and the ability to drive projects and support issues to a timely and effective close
  • Adhere to and communicate all Project Milestones
  • Responsible for the scheduling of all Engineers, Installers and/or Sub Contractors and holding them accountable to timelines
  • Manage Change Order requests
  • Utilize resources to improve profitability
  • Aid in the development and utilization of Project Metrics
  • Act as interdepartmental conduit for all customer facing, installation, and support requirements
  • Ensure deliverables are assigned and drive to completion within stated project timeframes
  • Hold the installation team accountable to meeting deadlines and updating the service order weekly regarding time reporting, and expense reporting
  • Escalate to senior management all project related items with a significant impact to project completion and/or delayed invoicing
  • Update service order with ordering details, status changes, installation dates, time frames, travel dates, etc. on a weekly basis
  • Adhere to all items within the Project Management template and checklist – thorough knowledge of each aspect of the checklist
  • Provide job cost reporting to accounting team upon completion of project

  • Additional duties may be assigned as required

Education/Experience

Required

  • Four-year college degree 3 – 5 years of managing multiple complex projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Professional certification in project management (PMP)
  • Working knowledge of Connectwise (CRM)

About the role: Network Engineer

Assist the Installation team in maintaining our key role of being a valued and trusted technology partner to our enterprise clients through effective installation and support of data (routing/switching), wireless, voice and network security products.

Essential functions include the following:

  • Maintain and support a variety of routed and switched TCP/IP networking systems including LAN / WAN / WLAN / Security in highly secure and regulated environments.
  • Leverage several network analysis utilities to monitor, troubleshoot, plan and measure network and host communication and performance at all levels of the OSI model.
  • Identify and apply networking and security best practices.
  • Ensure the highest level of security and availability for core and branch networking systems.
  • Act as a key collaborative resource with business, leadership, and technology teams for routine issues and project-related requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge base and procedural documentation.
  • Support engagements in a continuous cross-training environment.
  • Continuous learning and certifications for certain relevant technology platforms and disciplines are expected for this position. Employer-paid training is available. (Restrictions apply)


Skills required to perform job responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of core TCP/IP protocol suite and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Strong knowledge and experience installing switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with WAN routing and design
  • Experience managing enterprise-level network firewall and VPN technologies.
  • Windows and Linux OS knowledge relating to networking and security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with Fortinet solutions a plus.
  • Experience with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions a plus.
  • Experience with HP Enterprise/Aruba and ClearPass a plus.
  • Experience with voice implementations a plus.

  • Knowledge of education and Government environments.

About the role: Level 1 Voice Systems Engineer

  • Support Alcatel VoIP infrastructure and applications, including IP-PBXs, voice mails, call management systems and unified communications.

  • Collaborate to resolve trouble tickets and mitigate end-user issues with VoIP hardware and/or applications.
  • Assist with the installation planning of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets. Ensure the highest level of security and availability for core and branch networking systems.
  • Maintain knowledge base and procedural documentation.
  • Support engagements in a continuous cross-training environment.

Dice Communications, Inc. (DCI), is seeking a Resident Engineer position managing and maintaining the Alcatel telecommunications services in Gwinnett County, Georgia

Resident Engineer Role Description:

The Resident Engineer (RE) provides onsite expertise on Alcatel-Lucent Network solutions to a specific customer, adding value to the day-to-day operations of the customer environment, safeguarding the value of the customer’s solution by sustaining its full functionality and its benefit to the enterprise.

The RE helps customers by reinforcing the performance of their network, ensuring smooth daily operations, and the stability needed for return on investment and permanence of the advantages offered by the solution.

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  High level and low level design definition
  •  Provision and/or configure new/additional Alcatel-Lucent Network equipment to be deployed at the customer site
  •  Define and detail migration strategies and processes
  •  Physical deployment of Alcatel-Lucent Network equipment
  •  New feature or compatibility testing
  •  Preventive maintenance for hardware and software
  •  Troubleshoot network issues
  •  Manage RMA of suspected faulty hardware and keep detailed records of all such activities
  •  Problem escalation and tracking within DCI Technical Support Organization
  •  Mentor for customer technical resources
  •  Keep DCI Sales and System Engineers aware of key activities and projects occurring at customer location
  •  Provide monthly report to customer of all activities completed and pending during previous month


Qualifications:

  • Configuration and installation of Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch and OmniAccess Wireless products is preferred


Location and Hours:

  • Full time on customer premise
  • Normal business hours – Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time
  • RE will often have to work outside of normal business hours (nights and weekends) or work in excess of 8 hours on any day or 40 hours in any week or on holidays (collectively, “Afterhours Work”). Comp time will be provided for the additional hours worked and will be coordinated between RE, Dice Communications, and Customer.
